In Chinese Official Mahjong, Two Concealed Kongs (双暗杠) is worth 6 points: when you win you hold two concealed kongs — two kinds of tile where you drew all four copies yourself and declared the kong yourself. A kong made from someone's discard, or a pung you later promoted to a kong, is not concealed.

How to reach 8 points

Two Concealed Kongs (6) is only 2 short of 8, and neither kong is exposed, so Concealed Hand (2) usually finishes the job (Fully Concealed Hand, 4, if you self-draw). Terminal kongs add a Pung of Terminals or Honors; dragon or own-wind kongs add 2 more.

How many points is Two Concealed Kongs?

6 points in Chinese Official Mahjong, and it replaces Concealed Kong and Two Concealed Pungs. With Concealed Hand it reaches 8, enough for the 8-point minimum.

Is a promoted kong concealed?

No. A kong made by adding the fourth tile to a claimed pung uses someone else's discard, so it is a melded kong.
