The rules for Two Terminal Chows
- A 123 chow and a 789 chow of the same suit
- Claimed chows count; the hand doesn't need to be concealed
- Different suits (123 characters + 789 dots) don't count
- Each chow combines with only one other chow once more (account once)
When Two Terminal Chows is not counted
- Pure Straight (123, 456, 789 of one suit), 16 points, already includes it
- Pure Terminal Chows (two 123 and two 789 of one suit, pair of 5 of that suit), 64 points
- Three-Suited Terminal Chows (one Two Terminal Chows in each of two suits, pair of 5 in the third), 16 points: neither is counted
- Account once: in the first example below, 789 characters could pair with 123 characters (Two Terminal Chows) or with 789 bamboo (Mixed Double Chow), but only one of them scores
